The Social Service Department is funded by the State of California Department of Community Services and Development (CSD) thru Community Services Block Grant (CSBG) funds and by the Department of Housing and Community Development.

    This department provides the following services:
  • Translations
  • Information and Referrals
  • Food/Commodities distribution
  • Hotel Vouchers
  • Emergency Food Vouchers
  • Utility "Final Notice" Payments.
  • Assistance in completing forms for:
    • TANF
    • Housing
    • Income Tax
    • Disability
    • Unemployment
    • Social Security
    • Medical Card
    • SSI
    • Child Support
Services are provided to Imperial County residents only and are free of charge. To qualify for services, clients must meet income guidelines provided by the funding source. Special funds are received occasionally for emergency services.
